Astell&Kern, a well known hi res portable music player company, has announced a special package partnership with Blue Note Records to commemorate the record company's 75th anniversary in the world of Jazz and Blues.
75 years ago, in 1939, Alfred Lion and Max Margulis founded a small jazz record label. Since then, “Blue Note Records” has derived great legendary performances of jazz and blues at its finest recording for 75 years.
Astell&Kern would like to celebrate this 75th anniversary of Blue Note Records with a special gift package. This Special Package will be comprised of 75 significant MQS (Hi-Res audio with 24bit/96kHz and mostly 24bit/192kHz) albums of "Blue Note Records", a Hi Resolution Astell&Kern AK240 player, along with a 400 pages special hardcover commemorate book (Richard Havers’ “Blue Note: Uncompromising Expression: 75 Years Of The Finest In Jazz”) and a 100 pages Special Exclusive book filled with original cover arts (front and back cover) of each album, track lists and detailed credits.
The 75 legendary Blue Note jazz albums that have been remastered in the Hi-Res digital format, among them five Blue Note albums that make their exclusive hi-res audio debuts with this release (Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers’ Mosaic, Tina Brooks’ True Blue, Don Cherry’s Complete Communion, Andrew Hill’s Point Of Departure, and Bobby Hutcherson’s Components), form a gorgeous collection that spans Blue Note’s storied history, from Thelonious Monk's first sessions in 1947 to GRAMMY Award-winning jazz phenomenon Gregory Porter’s Liquid Spirit. Each album is offered in high resolution on a microSD card, protected in an acrylic glass case with original album artwork and stacked in a decorative tower for an elegant, luxurious display.
