Neat Acoustics unveiled a new model in their Momentum series, the SX7 and, also, announced upgraded versions of the other models in this series to include a new tweeter and a new name as well. The series will be known as Momentum SX.
The Momentum SX7 is a full range floorstanding design featuring isobaric bass loading, an integral solid slate plinth, and Neat's newly-developed SXT-A1 anodized aluminum dome tweeter positioned between two bass/midrange drivers in a quasi d'Appolito configuration.
According to the details published by Neat, the crossover network features point-to-point hard wiring, using carefully selected high-grade close tolerance components.
The Momentum SX7, which was first presented to the public at this year's show in Munich, is the top model in the series. Neat announced a set of changes in Momentum, changing the name to Momentum SX and renaming the current models to SX3 and SX5, respectively. The new versions of the latter will, also, include the new tweeter developed by Neat. Of the them, the SX5 can also use the plinth as an optional accessory to improve stability as well as sonic performance.
Neat announced that the two smaller models in the range, SX3 and SX5, will be available in July, while the top-of-the-range SX7 should be expected in September.
