The company from Italy, recently published some details about three new turntables, the Mediterraneo, the Giglio and the Valore Plus 425.
The Mediterraneo design features a 60mm thick curved plinth of aged original Italian olive or walnut wood. The curved plinth is cut in the inner side to find the perfect tuning of the wood and interfaced with a 3mm stainless steel shaped board threaded to the massive wooden curved plinth in 18 points. The turntable lays on three massive aluminum adjustable spikes to keep a solid rigid coupling to the shelf.
The Mediterraneo features a new 12V synchronous motor electronically controlled by a PWM circuit designed by Gold Note and derived from the exotic Bellagio turntables. The 80mm long platter spindle/bearing assembly comes directly from the top quality design of the Bellagio Reference; it is fully recessed into the acrylic top plinth in order to keep the thick platter as closest as possible to the turntable structure reducing the turbulence generated by the rotation. The platter is 45mm thick, made of black Sustarin, a special material based on a PTE polymer; rigid but dead at the same time, it features an extraordinary ability to reduce vibration feedback while the high mass helps a regular rotational stability.
The Giglio features a 50mm thick, curved plinth chosen for its exceptional elasticity, strength and high density, interfaced with a 3mm stainless steel shaped board and completed with 20mm thick black polished acrylic layer for the electronics of the turntable that lowers the total frequency resonance as well.
The Giglio features the same 12V synchronous motor developed for Mediterraneo. The 80mm long platter spindle/bearing assembly is made of best-hardened steel and bronze, recessed into the acrylic top plinth to keep the platter as closest as possible to the turntable structure reducing the turbulence generated by the rotation.
Last but not least, the Valore Plus 425 is the definitive evolution of the original Gold Note Valore (400mm), their acclaimed affordable turntable, merging great audio performance with a high grade of finishes and elegant look. The turntable features a 30mm thick plinth shaped and cut around the bearing of the platter and the motor to drastically reduce all unwanted vibrations. The Valore Plus 425 platter is made of 20mm acrylic designed to stay only 3mm closed to the turntable plinth. Such small platter/plinth clearance, allows reducing turbulence for great noiseless rotational stability, the company says.
The Valore Plus 425 features a 12V synchronous motor electronically controlled both for the 33/45rpm selection and for fine speed adjustment. The Valore Plus 425 is 25mm wider than the original entry level Valore to allow setups with 9-inch tonearms.
The Valore Plus 425 is offered as package with a Gold Note dedicated 9-inch arm and the Dust Cover.
