The well known manufacturer from Cyprus announced the availability (in limited numbers) of their new integrated amplifier named ISA-2. As expected, this is a tube based design featuring custom output transformers and high quality passive components.
According to information provided by the company, ISA-2 offers 120W of power per channel with an output stage based on KT88 tubes. The circuit features a split-load driver and the output tubes are biased as an AB2 class stage. By simple adjustment of the bias, ISA-2 can accept a variety of output tubes such as the KT120 and the KT66, according to user requirements.
As usually happens with NVO products, very high quality components are used ll over the amplifier, including Mundorf and Nichicon capacitor and Kiwame resistors. Internal wiring features high purity (7N) copper conductors while the tube sockets are ceramic with gold-plated contacts. Connection terminals are treated with rhodium. All transformers are designed and manufactured by NVO.
ISA-2 offers 5 line inputs and a preamplifier output for connection to a power amplifier if bi-amping is desired. NVO also announced a power amp, the P-2, details of which are expected in the near future. The amplifier includes a remote control through which the user can adjust the volume and activate the mute.
