The new Tangent Ampster BT is a compact design, measuring just 190x139x52mm (wxdxh), which brings your old passive speakers back to life. It is a compact amplifier with multiple input options including Bluetooth streaming and easy control via the stylish remote. Ampster BT.
The new amplifier has got the possibility of connecting via various sources such as Bluetooth 4.0 wireless link, two analog sources via a Line in through RCA plugs and an Aux in through a 3.5mm TRS mini jack (both located in the back panel), and a digital optical input as well.
When left idle on the Bluetooth source, Ampster BT will go to standby automatically and wake automatically when you start playing Bluetooth again. The amp also features a stylish remote to select input and control the volume and an output to connect an active subwoofer.
Despite its compact size (reminding us the original iconic Ampster), the amplifier is quite capable of driving conventional loudspeakers, even big bookshelf or floorstanding ones, since it includes a class D power stage. Tangent says that the amp is capable of 2x50W in 4-Ohm loads which is more than enough for most loudspeakers in small rooms and a medium to small listening distance
