Founded in 2013, Auris Audio, has become quite recognizable on the market by its one of a kind product design, pleasing both listener's ears and visual senses with a wide range of products, that includes d/a converters, amplifiers (and a headphone amp) and loudspeakers. Recently, the company introduced their new Forte 150 monoblock amplifier and the Poison 3 floorstanding loudspeaker.
Forte 150 is a push-pull AB class monoblock amp, featuring two KT150 per channel, capable of 100Wrms. According to the press release, the selected premium components (including Mundorf capacitors) guarantee an extraordinary listening experience while the wooden side panels cushion the vibrations and reduce their impact on the sound.
Each output tube has a separate instrument to allow the user to visually check the adjusted bias at every moment. Forte 150 has output transformers rated to 200W, which allows for a frequency range between 15Hz and 50 kHz. A fine silver wire and premium WBT silver connectors are used, while, on request, Auris can add a balanced input with Lundahl transformers.
Poison 3 loudspeakers, premiered during the Warsaw Audio Video Show last November, are Auris' answer to the frequently asked "how to get the exquisite sound from small boxes” question. Knowing that young audiophiles do not always have the space to set up a large system, Auris Audio’s R&D has invested a lot of time and great effort to turn a low volume loudspeaker into an audiophile product. Guided by the experience of his father and Auris founder/CEO Milomor Trocic, acoustical engineer Uros Trosic gave his signature to the Poison 3, using natural materials like genuine leather and walnut wood that have become a trademark of the brand and, also, wool for internal damping. Poison 3 is a three-way floorstanding loudspeaker, featuring one full range driver from Fountek, a backwards-firing ambience tweeter and a side-placed, bass-reflex loaded, woofer for the lower part of the audio spectrum. Frequency response is 28Ηz-22kHz and sensitivity at 86dB/W/1m.
