Densen has always had a strong attention to the power supplies of their products. Over the years this has resulted in Densen using exclusively their own power supply capacitors which are designed specifically for the circuits they are being used in, instead of relying on standard components. The Densen power supplies have always contained several separate supplies, focusing on clean power to all stages of the products, and the transformers have always been custom-made and mounted to minimize vibrations influence on the delicate audio signals on the PCB board. Now Densen takes this attention to detail to another level, with the introduction of the Densen 1NRG.
Several Densen models are already prepared for upgrade with external power supply. To be precise, B-110, B-110+, B-110XS, B-120, B-130, B-130+, B-130XS, B-150, B-150+, B-150XS, B-175, B-175+, B-175XS, B-250, B-250+, B-250XS, B-250CAST, B-410XS, B-420XS, B-440XS and B-800MK 1, 2 & 3 can all be upgraded with the 1NRG.
According to the press release, the 1NRG parts are the best possible and include Vishay metal film resistors, ultra-fast high precision rectifying diodes, and a vibration damped custom-made transformer, with 2 separate secondary windings. The total filter capacitance is 200.000uF. The result of using the 1NRG is a significant upgrade of any Densen product, and words like agile, precise, fast, dynamic and natural springs to mind, the company states.
The 1NRG has a retail price of €1500 and is available now in Black and Albino finish.
