Triangle recently unveiled their new generation of connected loudspeakers, the Sensa. The new series includes two models, the SN01A and the SN03A, and is founded on the research conducted for the active Elara loudspeaker system and is an effort to introduce the technology in products at a more affordable price-range.
Genuine alternative to the one-piece loudspeakers available on the market, the Sensa loudspeakers feature a class-D amplifier of 2x40 watts for the SN01A and 2x50 watts for the SN03A. The amplifier includes a Bluetooth AptX receiver (capable of 16bit/44.1kHz) for smartphones and tablets, a phono preamplifier for turntable connection and vinyl records playback, a digital optical input to connect a TV-set or any other source with an optical digital output and an analog input (TRS 3.5mm or RCA) to connect an analogue line-level source. An RCA output allowing to connect a subwoofer or to daisy-chain several pairs of loudspeakers is, also, included.
Both the loudspeakers of the Sensa range use a two-way bass reflex configuration and a 25mm silk dome tweeter for the high frequency part of the audio spectrum. The SN01A features a 100mm mid/bass driver for the low frequencies, while the SN03A features a larger driver, at 130mm. The loading port is located to the rear of each enclosure.
Both the Sensa loudspeakers are supplied with an RCA cable, a 3.5mm cable and a remote control that allows the user to adjust the volume, select signal sources and turn on/off the device. There is also a low/high frequency alignment feature.
The new loudspeakers will be available in black and white at a price of €349/pair for the SN01A, and €399 for the SN03A.
