Cyrus Audio has recently announced the launch of the ONE Cast Smart Audio System. The latest member of the award-winning Cyrus ONE family, the ONE Cast fully embraces the freedom and usability of the smart speaker, but offers the additional flexibility and audiophile performance associated with a dedicated Hi-Fi system.
The first product of it’s kind, the One Cast is designed to work with all three major voice assistants: Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri (given that it shares with them the same Wi-Fi network) and can also be controlled directly through all major music streaming apps, without the need for a separate dedicated app. When controlled either by voice or streaming app, the One Cast connects directly to the music service provider to receive high-resolution audio files, delivering an experience far superior to even high-resolution forms of Bluetooth. With One Cast you can stream music in high-quality directly from your phone using Spotify, Deezer, Amazon Music, iTunes, Qobuz, Tidal – in fact, almost any streaming service.
The built-in stereo amplifier uses Cyrus’ in-house designed 4th generation “Hybrid Class-D” technology to deliver 2x100W (into 6 Ω at 0.1% THD+N) through a linear power supply, supported by the company's SID technology (Speaker Impedance Detection) that automatically calibrates amplifier to the loudspeakers.
Connectivity includes an asynchronous USB input (up to 32-bit/192kHz and DSD to DSD128), HDMI (ARC), Optical Toslink and Coaxial S/PDIF, Bluetooth, a phono (MM) input and an analogue input configurable for AV integration. There are, also, preamplifier outputs to connect to additional power amplifiers and a high power, high voltage class AB headphone amplifier.
