Rotel recently added two new components to their portfolio of affordable products. The CD11 CD player and the A11 integrated amplifier are obviously designed to complement each other, both aesthetically and functionally, leverage Rotel's Balanced Designed Concept and, as a pair, will cost a little over €1.000,-
The A11 integrated amplifier is based on the successful 14 Series models. The output power utilizes a classic Rotel Class AB amplification circuit rated at 50 Watts per channel into 8 ohms, with a damping factor of 140, featuring an in-house custom designed oversized toroidal transformer. Source inputs include an MM phono stage to accommodate vinyl lovers, aptX and AAC Bluetooth for wireless audio streaming and an array of 4 RCA analogue inputs for standard line level analog sources. The front panel graphic display and IR remote control ensure effortless and simplified control of your audio.
The CD11 relies on Rotel's CD player design and manufacturing experience that dates back to 1989, with the introduction of their first model, the RCD-855 CD. The new device continues this proud tradition with a carefully engineered power supply and Balanced Design topology of digital and analogue circuits. With clean lines and intuitive operation common with other 14 series models, the CD11 brings musical details to life with ability beyond its modest price-point, the company states.
The design features an 24-bit/192kHz D/A conversion chip from Texas Instruments and a tray-based optical disc drive that supports CD-R/RW discs with mp3-format files for playback. Output is either through a single ended (RCA) analog pair or a coaxial S/PDIF digital RCA. An IR remote is, also included.
Both models are already available in black or silver finish for around €700,- (A11) and €500,- (CD11).
