Cambridge Audio unveiled the next evolution of its celebrated Melomania headphones, the Melomania Touch true wireless in-ear headphones, a design which follows on the success of the award-winning Melomania 1, to offer an all-new design with intuitive touch controls, stunning sound performance and world-class battery life. Featuring an innovative High Performance Audio Mode that uses Hi-Fi grade amplification technology, Melomania Touch delivers a genuine step forward in sonic performance, Cambridge Audio says. The default High Performance Audio Mode uses the same method of amplification found in the company’s award-winning CX range of Hi-Fi amplifiers, and Cambridge Audio’s engineers were able to deliver that high level of audio fidelity in these true wireless earbuds – a groundbreaking achievement, the company stated.
Custom Cambridge Audio 7mm drivers are enhanced with graphene, a lightweight material selected by Cambridge Audio’s engineers for its outstanding strength and rigidity, while the true wireless design incorporates Bluetooth 5.0 technology and the latest AAC and aptX codecs. Additionally, the inclusion of two high quality microphones and Qualcomm’s Clear Voice
Capture (cVc) noise-canceling technology ensures that voice calls over smartphones, tablets and laptops remain crisp, clear and free from background noise during working from home meetings on Microsoft Teams, Skype, Zoom and other collaboration tools.
The new headphones are crafted using data points from over 3,000 pairs of ears to ensure the perfect combination of long-lasting comfort, noise-isolation and immersive sound quality. They are super lightweight – each earbud weighs just under 6 grams – and are supplied with multiple silicone ear tips and selectable fins that allow you to find the perfect, snug fit.
Melomania Touch comes with a new compact charging case finished in premium microfiber leather and sports a fast-charging USB-C port offering 9 hours of battery life from a single charge and, in total, 50 hours, through on-the-go charging via the case.
