YHT-5960U is an all-in-one solution – complete with a 4K/120Hz AV receiver, speakers and wiring connections for a surround sound experience – and easily transforms your home into an entertainment mecca for movies, music, gaming and more.
According to the press release, this is a complete home theater system, designed to support the latest trends and specifications for home entertainment, including future support for 8K/60bHz, HDMI 2.1 and HDR10+.
The YHT-5960U offers five channels of surround sound, plus a complete speaker set with connections to get you from setup to immersion in a matter of minutes. Whether you’re 4K- ready today or preparing for 8K to come, this home theater system is built to support and pass through the highest resolution content available. All four HDMI inputs on the AV receiver support 4K/120Hz and 8K/60bHz, via firmware update.
The system features the iconic new look for Yamaha AV receivers, with a simplified, modern design, high-resolution LCD display and a jog dial with touch-sensitive buttons. The modern look is matched by HDMI 2.1 compatibility, providing faster, smoother and uninterrupted entertainment and gameplay with auto low latency mode (ALLM), variable refresh rates (VRR), quick frame transport (QFT) and quick media switching (QMS). This is especially helpful for compatibility not only with Ultra HD TVs and emerging 8K setups, but also in preparation for the newest gaming platforms, Sony says.
The ready-to-assemble system, comes complete with speaker connections and five speakers: a left, right and center channel speaker, a surround left and right speaker, and a power subwoofer, for immersive bass. The YHT-5960U features the entire suite of MusicCast capabilities and app control, including Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, built-in music streaming services, multi-room audio and voice control via Alexa, Google and Siri-enabled devices.
