Continuing in the tradition of their successful MaiA amplifiers, the MaiA S3 is a bigger and better integrated amplifier packing a nice punch and offering high connectivity in a small package.
According to the press release, the MaiA S3 offers the quality and value you’d expect from a Pro-Ject component in their new chassis design and size, providing more space internally and better shielding against electromagnetic interference than before.
The MaiA S3 offers eight inputs and is ready for digital or analog sources, wired or wireless. The phono section can handle MM, MC, or high output MC cartridges. The user can hook up a tuner or any other analog device to one of the three line-level RCA inputs. The DAC section features a coax and two optical connections. The high definition AptX Bluetooth 5.0 wireless input allows streaming music via a phone or any other compatible smart device. The amp offers loudspeaker and headphone outputs, while the included remote control covers all major functions. There is, also, a preamplifier (variable) output to connect a power amplifier, if more power is needed in the future.
The MaiA S3 is available for MSRP €599 (incl. VAT) at Pro-Ject dealers, starting June 2022.
