The company says that they were the first in the world to offer a mass-produced model, fully equipped with Ellipticor transducers with such an uncompromising level of sound quality. The loudspeaker is a damped three-way bass reflex design, with front elliptical wooden port and features a 222 mm Scan-Speak Ellipticor, elliptical voice coil, special paper membrane, very low distortion, large bandwidth, vented magnetic system woofer, an 180 mm Scan-Speak Ellipticor, midrange and a 29x40mm Scan-Speak Ellipticor, hand impregnated silk dome tweeter.
The cabinet is hand veneered, using HDF and a complex internal brace system, against resonance with damping by three complementary materials.
