PSB Speakers today announces the SubSeries BP8 Powered Subwoofer, the first in a new generation of premium subwoofers featuring nCore amplification and advanced isolation.
The BP8 is precision engineered with proprietary dual 8-inch drivers and a 500W HybridDigital amplifier to deliver breakthrough performance for music and home theater, the company says. Its compact cabinet design is acoustically sealed and fitted with IsoAcoustics isolation feet to prevent low frequency vibrations and provide unmatched clarity. The SubSeries BP8 is available in Satin Black and White finishes starting March 2024.
The BP8 design is centered around a cabinet engineered with an emphasis on rigidity and acoustic neutrality. This construction ensures that unwanted resonances and distortions are virtually eliminated to allow the subwoofer to faithfully reproduce low frequencies down to 20Hz with remarkable detail and precision, PSB states. The dual 8-inch drivers feature woven carbon fiber cones and filleted rubber surrounds, are coupled with ultra-high powered voice coils and robust 45-ounce magnet structures and are carefully positioned in a bipolar configuration on opposing sides.
