Heco recently announced the release of a new edition of the Direkt Premium loudspeaker, building on the success of the original model launched in 2016. The new loudspeaker showcases a unique design inspired by the 70s, featuring a striking two-tone finish, in black or white satin lacquer, paired with a real walnut wood center panel. Its rounded corners lend a softness to the overall look, while the generously sized 78-liter MDF cabinet optimizes airflow and enhances bass response through specially designed reflex ports.
The all-metal 3-point bearing foot provides a distinctive 6° tilt, ensuring precise sound directivity. Removable protective covers for the woofers and tweeters attach seamlessly with invisible magnetic fasteners, maintaining a clean and sophisticated appearance.
At the heart of the Direkt Premium’s performance is the Heco Fluktus tweeter, boasting a 28mm silk compound dome for smooth, detailed treble without harshness. The innovative Fluktus Wave Control horn geometry, coupled with a powerful double-magnet system, delivers a well-defined soundstage, enveloping listeners in rich audio, Heco states.
Complementing the tweeter is a large 11-inch bass-midrange driver, with a specially optimized kraft (hard) paper cone, providing dynamic range and depth typical of larger floorstanding speakers. The speaker features a premium crossover network, using high-quality components for long-lasting reliability.
