hARt Lab Tune Six

There is no doubt that hARt Lab is one of the most interesting Greek audio companies to have emerged in recent years. With distinctive and carefully considered aesthetics, high build quality and, most importantly, some interesting ideas when it comes to circuit architecture, it is a company that stands out. We had the opportunity to establish this for ourselves when we reviewed the Tune Two preamplifier and the Tune Three power amplifier, two components that left us with a very positive impression.
hARt Lab is not a company that constantly introduces new products, and their catalogue is notably small. It has maintained its two preamplifier/power amplifier ranges: the smaller Tune Two and Tune Three, and the larger Tune Four and Tune Five (a monoblock design). So, when the company announced an integrated amplifier about a year and a half ago, it was genuinely big news!

The Tune Six, as it is called, is essentially a scaled-down version of the architecture hARt uses across their entire range. It combines a tube-based preamplification/driver stage with a solid-state power stage, while incorporating the key elements of the Tune Two preamplifier in terms of the attenuator, streamer, and optional D/A converter and phono preamplifier modules. All of this is housed in a new chassis and controlled through a new user interface. You can see the result in the photographs, but, of course, we will not limit ourselves to such superficial impressions.
Let’s take a closer look...
