… and the much-anticipated SL-1200G/GAE, the new version of the legendary vinyl deck 1200. The GAE version will be released in a limited edition with a cost close to $ 4,000.
Thiel presented their new subwoofer, the SmartSub 1.12. Based on a 12-inch driver, it features a digitally controlled 1250W amplifier. It will include a room adaptation algorithm and the user can use a computer to control any of the settings.
Unison Research displayed the SH DAC/headphone amplifier, a class A design with EL34 tubes, which supports file streaming up to 384kHz (PCM) and DSD128.

Not directly related with audio, nevertheless interesting: United Science showed a special device to capture the ear characteristics (eFit 3D ear scanner) which can then be used to create custom-fit headphones.
The VAC's Phi 170 is an amplifier that supports KT120 and KT150 tubes. It delivers 85W per channel (170W if bridged) and uses the iQ automatic bias circuit for which the company is well-known.
Vie Shair headphones were in their Kickstarter funding phase during CES. It is a rather peculiar "open" design with a special frame structure that holds the ear-pads within a certain distance from the ear and includes an active noise suppression system.
