Show Report (Part 1): Belcanto - Cyrus

… and the monoblock power amplifier MPS.

Beyerdynamic introduced a new headphone amplifier. The A-2.

Black Pearls quietly adds new products to their line. They demonstrated the prototype of a pre/power amp pair (showing here is the preamp Aries)…

… their integrated amplifier, Birth-100…

… and the CD player/USB DAC Virgo, as well.

Two loudspeakers from Boenicke. To the left, the small W5 and to the right the Anna.

Boenicke also displayed cutouts to show the manufacturing process for their cabinets.

This is a very small DAC, indeed. The DacMagic XS from Cambridge Audio.

Cambridge Audio also demonstrated -among other things- two integrated systems the Minx XI…

… and the One.

Canton offered their own version of a soundbase. The DM 50 is a 2.1 system which supports wireless streaming via Bluetooth/aptX.

CEC's belt-driven and top-loading players are always accompanied by remarkable creativity on design and aesthetics. Here the TLD 3.0.

M1 power amp from CH delivers 200/350/600W in 8/4/2Ohm loads in a two-channel configuration and 700/1.200/1.600W in 8/4/2Ohm loads while bridged. It features a variable feedback loop (a variable total/local feedback ratio to be precise).

Chario's top of the range Serendipity from the Academy Series was a sufficiently commanding presence…

… but, surely, this cabinet cut-out was also of much interest!

The main system displayed by Chord Electronics comprised of CPM-1400 MkII monoblocks, the CPA-8000 preamplifier and the Red Reference CD player.

The company also showed their media streamer/player DSX1000, although without a doubt…

… the Hugo, Chord's new portable DAC/headphone amplifier was a prominent exhibit too.

The system of Sinatra Corum Audio included loudspeakers…

… and a processor/amplifier which offers digital inputs too.

The collection of cables and connectors from Crystal Cable grows every year. However, this year the company also demonstrated…

… the compact Minissimo loudspeaker…

… and, also, an even smaller amp codenamed The Cube which is based on Siltech's technology.

The Lyric 09 from Cyrus includes everything (from CD/Media player/streamer and tuner, to DAC and amplifier). Just add a pair of loudspeakers.
