Show Report (Part 2): Primare - Systemdek

Primare's I32 integrated amplifier accepts a digital interface module (MM30) that includes both standard S/PDIF inputs and a USB port as well.

Small active two-way loudspeaker featuring a coaxial driver, from Progressive Audio. Extreme 1 uses one 100W linear amplifier per way.

Quadral demonstrated their latest version of Aurum Titan (the VIII), and -for those who would like something more manageable in size-, had set up a pair of active Altan.

The same company also displayed the Rondo Aktiv, a loudspeaker designed for desktop applications.

Reimyo's CDT-777 CD transport and CAT-777 preamplifier driving…

… the KAP-777 power amp, historically the first Kazuo Kiuchi's solid state design.

Rel named their new top subwoofer series Gibraltar. The range includes two models, G1 and G2, featuring AB class amps that deliver 600W and 450W respectively, high quality low pass filters (with a dedicated Dolby spec'd LFE input) and 12/10-inch drivers with carbon fiber cones.

Restek presented their new integrated amplifier, EPAL…

… a radio receiver for DVB-S signals, ESAT +…

… and the MINT integrated amp.

The impressive Florentia from Rossofiorentino. This is their top loudspeaker, a four-way semi-active design with two 12-inch drivers and two class D amps delivering 750W.

Scheu Analog displayed their Laufwerk No.2 turntable.

Silbatone offered the visitors an opportunity to hear two cinema-oriented Western Electric loudspeakers, the 12a/13a, dated back to 1926. Impressive at their time -no doubt about that- but with today's norms somewhat band-limited…

Soulution demoed the DAC 560 (top right), the SA-CD player 541 (directly below) and the preamplifier 725 (left-side). Bottom left, appears the 750 phono preamplifier. The system was completed with two 701 monoblocks driving Magico's Q5 loudspeakers.

Wave 40 from Sound Kaos is an “almost full range” loudspeaker, based on an 8-inch full range driver complemented by a ribbon super tweeter. Both drivers are from Galm Audio. Enclosures are made of solid wood.

Phonitor 2 is the successor of SPL's classic Phonitor, a headphone amplifier with professional specs (and some features that are not very useful in a daily, audiophile use). The new amp offers a power stage capable of driving some difficult loads, stereo image correction and listen-through-loudspeakers emulation (with adjustable cross-feed, image width and channel mixing) and can also be used as a preamplifier.

Stax presented their brand new headphones, SR-009, shown here with the SRM-007t II amplifier.

The latest product from Stillpoints is a system for room acoustics control, called Acoustical Panel. The company does not give much information about how it works. It is also available with printed artwork.

Synergistic Research presented a series of interesting accessories to fine tune your system. Here, the ECT (Electronic Circuit Transducer, for use near electronic components and in the chassis)…

… the HFT (High Frequency Transducer, for room acoustics treatment and for resonance control in loudspeaker enclosures)…

… the Red fuse series specially designed for audio devices…

… and finally, the XOT (Crossover Transducer) which is placed at the loudspeaker terminals and offers high frequency noise control.

Systemdek is one of the well known turntable manufacturers of the golden age of analogue audio. They presented the Precision which seems to be their third and newest model.
