Show Report (Part 1): Weiss - Zontek

Daniel Weiss presented an 30-years anniversary version of MAN301. It will be produced in limited numbers and will have Weiss' new output stage, a balanced topology based on discrete operational amplifiers.

WLM (Wiener Lautsprecher Manufaktur) launched a complete new range of loudspeakers. Here, are shown (from left to right), the Sissi, Elisabeth and Frantz, while the company, also, announced a portable system and a subwoofer.

One of the most impressive loudspeakers exhibited, was the Salon from Wolf Von Langa. Salon is a modular system based on EM woofers, i.e. woofers relying on electromagnets and not on permanent magnets to provide the field needed for the diaphragm to move.

Visitors had the opportunity to listen to the Zellaton Reference, one of the top loudspeakers in this year's show…

… that uses an external crossover with Duelund passive components.

Zontek turntable is a suspension-less, belt driven via a DC motor design, with space enough to accommodate up to three tonearms, based on a magnetic assisted main bearing assembly. The Delta tonearm also uses magnetic bearing and in addition offers a control over its active mass. The armboard permits VTA adjustments.
